Lance Cpl. Michael Webster signals to his team while conducting a raid during the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Combined Arms Exercise at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif., June 12, 2016. MEUCAX enables Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 4th Marines to refine their offensive and defensive tactics at the company and battalion levels. This training enables the Marines to practice transitioning from an offensive attack to the defense position, both during day and night operations. The culminating event will involve a battalion ground offensive in coordination with Marine aviation close-air support. MEUCAX is conducted to maintain a high level of combat readiness prior to the MEU’s Western Pacific 16-2 deployment later this year.
