Marines and policemen discuss proper room clearing procedures before a simulated urban raid during the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Realistic Urban Training near Minden, NV, June 18, 2016. Performing rehearsals and discussing operations is crucial when working together as the Marine Corps and police forces’ techniques, tactics and procedures are different and need to be synchronized to work together effectively. This also provides an opportunity for the Marines to learn from the a Special Weapons and Tactics team about conducting operations in an urban environment. The Marines are with the Maritime Raid Force, 11th MEU, and the policemen are with the Reno Police Department SWAT team. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Xzavior T. McNeal/Released)
