Capt. Rick Wester relieved Capt. Christopher Keane as Commander of Coast Guard Sector Hampton Roads during a Change of Command ceremony on Tuesday, June 22, 2016. Rear Adm. Meredith Austin, Commander, 5th Coast Guard District, presided over the ceremony. Sector Hampton Roads covers the Atlantic Coast from the Virginia/Maryland border to the Virginia/North Carolina border and is composed of nearly 500 Active Duty and civilian personnel, 175 Reservists, and 1,300 Auxiliarists.
