U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Scott D. Manning, a legal advisor with the Pacific area counsel under Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, retires after 23 years of serving in the United States Marine Corps, at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan on June 24th, 2016. Manning first joined the Marine Corps in 1993 as a reservist infantry scout, then later commissioned in 1995 and has served honorably and faithfully in multiple units for more than two decades.
