As the sun rose over the National Training Center, June 21,2016, Bradley Fighting Vehicles shook the foundation of the small city of Ujen. The Minnesota National Guard’s 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division started it’s assault on the city. Smoke was heavy in the air as a small fighting force from the Bilasuvar Freedom Brigade played by the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment defended the city using guerrilla-style tactics. With grim determination to give as good as they got, the BFB made the guardsmen pay a heavy toll for every building that they gained. The purpose of this training scenario was to present the guardsmen with multiple engagements against irregular forces in a urban setting.
