An end of an era as a North Carolina National Guard veteran of war, numerous state active duty missions and hundreds of drills leaves the guard after more than 55 years of service for a new mission with the town of Wallace, North Carolina. NC Guard Army Lt. Col. Rodney Newton, NCNG’s State facility manager (center) officially gives the keys of the Wallace armory to the Mayor of Wallace, Charles Farrior (right). The armory officially became property of the town after a brief ceremony with town leaders here, June 29, 2016.
