Iraqi police patrol the Tigris River in southern Maysan with U.S. Navy advisors from Detachment 2, Riverine Squadron 3. The combined river patrol landed at several small villages where the IP discussed security and other issues with local residents. The Sailors are attached to 4th Battalion, 6th Infantry Regiment deployed from Fort Bliss, Texas, to advise and assist Iraqi security forces.
