SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Service members from the United States and Japan come together in order to discuss potential strategies for responding to relief during a Table-Top Exercise, as part of Pacific Command Amphibious Leaders Symposium 2016 (PALS-16) in San Diego, Calif., July 12, 2016. PALS-16 is one of the many events the Marine Corps participates in to strengthen interoperability and working relationships across a wide range of operations. Senior military leaders from many nations will use PALS as a platform to build upon already established military-to-military relationships as well as hone amphibious capabilities.
