    135th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment

Sgt. 1st Class Joseph Preski, the platoon sergeant for 3rd Platoon, 573rd Clearance Company, 1st Engineer Battalion, 130th Engineer Brigade, clears away concertina wire surrounding a Hesco barrier. The Hesco barrier is a hasty culvert denial system placed by engineers at a time when the threat of improvised explosive devices was much higher than the current threat level. Third platoon removed the Hesco barrier and covered the culvert with a metal grate, ensuring water flow and protection against unwanted access
