Tradewinds, a U.S. Southern Command-sponsored exercise was created with emphasis on maritime interdiction and search-and-rescue operations. This year's exercise began April 16th and is scheduled to run through April 26. The exercise involves nations from the U.S., Great Britain and 15 Caribbean nations.
