FORT CARSON, Colorado – Sgt. Christopher Hunt, horizontal construction engineer, directs a bulldozer operated by Spc. Kyle Anderson, horizontal construction engineer, both of 842nd Engineer Company, 153rd Engineer Battalion, 196th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, South Dakota National Guard, July 12, 2016, at the Fort Carson Pinon Canyon Maneuver Site, during the Iron Strike field training exercise conducted by 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, from July 7-22. The 842nd Engineer Co. teamed up with 3rd Brigade’s 588th Brigade Engineer Battalion for the exercise as part of the Associated Units Pilot Program that partners active-duty units with Reserve components to enhance mobilization readiness.
