A New York Army National Guard Soldier assigned to Co. B., 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry, New York City, mans a humvee's turret equipped with a Javelin anti-tank missile and an M240 machine gun as the unit stages a convoy at the Joint Readiness Training Center, Ft. Polk, La., Saturday July 16. The infantryman joined more than 5,000 Soldiers from other state Army National Guard units, active Army and Army Reserve troops as part of the 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team task force. The Soldiers will hone their skills and practice integrating combat operations ranging from infantry troops engaging in close combat with the enemy to artillery and air strikes, July 9-30, 2016.
