Expeditionary Force 21 scenarios will require a light and maneuverable means to provide surgical interventions far forward in austere environments and will leverage alternative shipping. The forward surgical concept seeks to provide platforms ashore and afloat that can power and sustain medical technologies, which are also MV-22 Osprey compatible and can operate onboard alternative shipping. The warfighting lab is conducting a Marine Air-Ground Task Force Integrated Experiment in conjunction with Rim of the Pacific exercise to explore new gear and assess its capabilities for potential future use.
