Brig. Gen. Glenn C. Hammond III, brigade commander for the 16th Engineer Brigade, extends his hand in gratitude to Spc. Daniel George and Soldiers of 1434th Eng. Company who worked to remove and preserve the Hodge Hall sign. The Soldiers were presented a commanders coin in appreciation for the care they took in ensuring that the sign was removed undamaged and prepared it to be shipped to the states. The sign will eventually be presented to the Hodge family.
