Tim Rieser, staff member for the majority leader from the subcommittee on state, foreign operations and funding U.S. foreign aid programs; Maj. Gen. Simeon Trombitas, commanding general, JTF-Haiti; Greg Gottlieb, international organization coordinator for United States Agency for International Development; and Alexandra Riboul, project manager for USAID, speak at the new resettlement camp, Tabarre Issa, on May 1. USAID assisted in the building and maintaining of the resettlement camp. Rieser assisted in funding for USAID, who has been instrumental in providing relief to Haitians affected by Jan. 12's earthquake. USAID and JTF-Haiti have worked side-by-side for many projects assisting Operation Unified Response.
