In Outlook click “File” in the top left corner, go to “Options,” then “Trust Center.” Click “Trust Center Settings,” then go to the “E-mail Security” tab. Next, in the “Encrypted Email” field, ensure the “Default Setting” box is not blank. If it is blank, click on the “Settings” button. Add your certificates to the “Hash” and “Encryption” algorithm, then press “OK”. The encrypted email field should be filled and the issue resolved.. (U.S. Air Force graphic by senior Airman Areca T.
