Streets in the family housing section of Naval Support Activity Mid-South are under water, Saturday, May 1, during major flooding after heavy rains breeched nearby protective levees. As of mid-day, Sunday, the waters had receded from most of the base and efforts were underway to survey the damage and identify any safety concerns before allowing personnel to return to their homes.
