Carl Holcomb of Mechanicsville, Vir., and Brigade Command Sgt. Maj. Kenneth R. Wagner of Pineville, La., at a convoy staging lane at Camp Adder, Iraq. The Virginia National Guard's 1st Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, headquartered in Lynchburg, Va., is currently deployed with the Louisiana National Guard's 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Newman and Holcomb flew to Camp Adder to visit the Soldiers of the 1/116th, April 8.
