Maj. Gen. Simeon Trombitas, commanding general, Joint Task Force-Haiti, says farewell to service members from 2-325th Airborne Infantry Regiment from Fort Bragg, N.C., and Navy Marine Construction Battalion 7 from Gulf Port, Miss., just moments before their departure from Haiti May 5. Both units have been in Haiti since days after the Jan. 12 earthquake. Since arriving, 2-325th worked closely with non- governmental organizations to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Haiti. The Seabees of NMCB-7 worked alongside other NGOs to mitigate hazards inside internally displaced person camps across the country.
