Staff Sgt. Mitchell Burke, 332nd Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron weather forecaster, attaches and fastens the radar to mast during the assembly of a new radar mast at Joint Base Balad, April 21. The radar mast elevates the receiver to an operating height free from building interference that could block the signal. Sergeant Burke is a native of Montpelier, Vt., and is deployed from Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
