160804-N-DH124-207 DILI, Timor-Leste (Aug. 4, 2016) - A member of the Forsa Defesa Timor- Leste (F-FDTL) searches a simulated enemy boat for maritime evidence collection during the final exercise for Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Timor Leste 2016. The final exercise flexed each element practiced throughout CARAT in areas such as evidence gathering, operational planning, infantry tactics, and small boat operations. CARAT is entering its 22nd year, and Timor-Leste is among the newest CARAT partner nations, demonstrating that our partners share common goals, and view CARAT as a valuable way to train towards those goals.
