The Lighthouse Cafe Dining Facility welcomed a visit from Brig. Gen. Robin B. Akin, (left), commander, 3rd Sustainment Command, (Expeditionary), Fort Knox, Ky., for a Tuesday lunch. Akin is in Virginia visiting senior leaders and Soldiers assigned to the 7th Sustainment Brigade. The brigade is comprised of approximately 4,300 Soldiers who are assigned to six battalions. Five battalions and the brigade headquarters are located at Fort Eustis. The brigade's 11th Transportation Battalion, 'Over the Shore', is located at Fort Story and is the site for the brigade's annual Joint Logistics Over The Shore exercise. Akin prepares to a cut 'welcome' cake with the oldest and youngest Soldier present, a time-honored Army tradition. 'Over the Shore' Soldiers, Sgt. Sandra Esquivel, (center), and Pvt. 1st Class Myden Busby (right) stand at the ready to make that first cut.
