U.S. Army engineers assigned to the 502nd Multi-Role Bridge Company, 19th Engineer Battalion, train Iraqi soldiers, with the Iraqi Army Bridging Regiment, on techniques used to tie a bridge erection boat and a float bridge together at Camp Taji, Iraq, April 21, 2016. The 502nd’s mission is to deploy worldwide to execute strategic-level logistical support to a theater of operations by opening and maintaining critical lines of communication through bridging infrastructure and conducting fixed and float bridge operations. By enabling Iraqi security forces through advice and assist, and building partner capacity missions, the Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve’s multinational Coalition is helping the Government of Iraq to set the conditions to defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
