Twenty-two airmen and 56,000 pounds of equipment make their way from San Diego, home of the California Air National Guard’s 147th Combat Communications Squadron, to Lielvarde Air Base, Latvia, aboard Air Force C-17 Globemaster aircraft to support Saber Strike, a 13-nation NATO exercise designed to improve interoperability.
