Students of the Phoenix Raven Qualification Course conduct weapons training on 8 April 2015 at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. Raven students fire with the M-9 pistol and M-4 carbine in a variety of different drills such as moving, transition and switching weapons from standing, kneeling and prone positions. The Raven Course, taught by the USAF Expeditionary Operations School’s 421st Combat Training Squadron, teaches security forces Airmen specialized training in aircraft security, combatives and verbal judo.
