Lengyel, the 28th Chief of the National Guard Bureau, gets sprayed with water, an Air Force tradition, by his daughter, Katy, with the help of an unidentified pilot following his final flight as an F-16 Fighting Falcon pilot with the 149th Fighter Wing, Texas Air National Guard, at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, Oct. 27, 2004. Lengyel served in a myriad of roles at wing, culminating as vice wing commander, before he was selected to serve as an expeditionary operations group commander at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan.
