Members of the Patriot Guard stand by with head bowed, hands over hearts, and salutes as the remains of Army Capt. James O. Perrine are placed into a motorcycle hearse on their way to the Iowa Veteran's Cemetary in Van Meter, Iowa where he will be laid to rest 36 years after his death. Perrine's cremated remains were discovered in a Cedar Falls funeral home where they've stayed since his death in 1974. There was no family available to claim him.
