Displaced Persian and Atropian civilians wait outside of the notion-based city of Turani during Joint Readiness Training Center 16-09, North Fort Polk, LA, August 24. JRTC is a realistic training environment which serves to ensure the capabilities of leaders and their units as a part of the global response force. Paratroopers assigned to Company D, 2nd Battalion 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, provided security to the civilians until further aid arrived. During this scenario enemy combatants threaten a nearby city and the citizens within. (U.S. Army photo by Spc. L’Erin Wynn, 49th Public Affairs Detachment)
