MOGADISHU, Somalia- An exercise participant jumps from a boat to reach the shore during a Somali Police Force Maritime Police Unit exercise demonstrating the unit’s capabilities Aug. 25, 2016. Representatives from approximately seven countries involved in improving stability and security in Somalia observed the demonstration off the coast of Mogadishu. Trained by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the maritime police unit received two new vessels for training and interdiction operations around the coast of Somalia.
