FORT IRWIN, Calif. – Civil affairs Soldiers attached to the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, pass out oranges to simulated refuges during a refugee movement exercise at Fort Irwin’s National Training Center Aug. 1. The brigade utilized the enablers, which included specialists from cyber warfare, civil affairs, electronic warfare and psychological warfare, to conduct a multitude of operations that included defending the brigade’s valuable computer network, conducting civilian populous influencing operations and including civilian considerations into battle planning.
