Soldiers of the 25th Infantry Division follow the Punisher, a load bearing squad multipurpose equipment transport (S-MET) surrogate during the Pacific Manned Unmanned - Initiative (PACMAN-I) at Marine Corps Training Area - Bellows, July 22, 2016. Manned-Unmanned Teaming is one of many new concepts that has been identified as part of the Army Warfighter Assessment 2017 (AWA 17). AWA is the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command's (TRADOC's) premier event to evaluate concepts and capabilities that address the Army's warfighting challenges and shape the future Army's force. The U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) is the Army's front line in bringing capabilities in the form of MUM-T to that force.
