Coast Guard Chief Warrant Officer Aaron Vanhuysen and Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael Bock check out the insulated bags that carry food for delivery to senior citizens used by Meals on Wheels of Staten Island, N.Y., during Fleet Week Thursday, May 27. The Staten Island chapter of Meals on Wheels, which has been in operation since 1972, delivers two meals a day to roughly 800 senior citizens in the borough. The meals are prepared in a single kitchen and then delivered by 400 of the company? volunteers.Hosted nearly every year since 1984, Fleet Week New York is the City's celebration of the sea services. This annual event also provides an opportunity for the citizens of New York City and the surrounding area to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as witness first hand the latest capabilities of today's Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard.
