Capt. Charles E. Gardner instructs members of the Alabama Air National Guard’s 187th Fighter Wing’s Fire and Rescue team on shut-down procedures of the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter during a rehearsal of the aircraft pre-accident plan at the Alabama National Guard’s Army Aviation Support Facility #1, Hope Hull, Alabama, Sept. 9, 2016. The rehearsal also included personnel from the Montgomery Airport Police. The rehearsal enables aviation facility Soldiers, airport officials, and 187th fire and rescue personnel to become familiar with each other, discuss aircraft specific safety procedures, and go over standard tactics and life-saving procedures.
