U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Patrick Butner, a machine-gunner with 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, attached to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit heads towards a landing zone for extraction during Valiant Shield 16 at Orote Air Field on Naval Base Guam, Sept. 20, 2016. The Marines seized the airfield and blocked, secured, and conducted a relief in place.
