U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Dennis Osentoski prepares to practice egress procedures using the Shallow Water Egress Trainer during Modular Amphibious Egress Training aboard Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 14, 2016. The training provided Marines with the skills necessary to remove themselves from a submerged, inverted aircraft. Before beginning the practical application, Marines spent more than two hours of class time learning egress techniques and proper safety measures. Osentoski is a flight equipment technician with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 262, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force and is an Ubly, Michigan, native.
