1609015-N-NT265-256 PHILIPPINE SEA (Sep. 15, 2016) Electronics Technician 3rd Class Robert McGuire, assigned to the forward-deployed Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS McCampbell (DDG 85), directs Sailors to remove the chains from a MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter, attached to “Saberhawks” of the Helicopter Strike Squadron (HSM) 77 as a part of flight operations during Valiant Shield 2016. Valiant Shield is a biennial, U.S. only, field-training exercise with a focus on integration of joint training among U.S. forces. This is the sixth exercise in the Valiant Shield series that began in 2006. McCampbell is on patrol with Carrier Strike Group Five (CSG 5) in the Philippine Sea supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
