Petty Officer 1st Class Scottie Richard, quartermaster, embarked aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS San Jacinto, uses the big eyes to maintain visual contact with the Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Robert E. Peary as the two vessels prepare to conduct a replenishment at sea. San Jacinto is part of Combined Task Force 151, a multinational task force established in January 2009 to conduct counter-piracy operations. Combined Task Force 151 operates in the Gulf of Aden and the east coast of Somalia.
