U.S. Marines with infantry officer course (IOC) review plans using a terrain model during exercise Talon Reach near Yuma, Ariz., Sept. 23, 2016. This evolution provided IOC students exposure to Marine Air Ground Task Force mission planning and execution through the conduct of a long-range, non-combatant, evacuation exercise that extended to both the Combat Center at 29 Palms, Calf. and Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz. IOC students coordinated with Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One instructors to conduct the command operations center activities, test communications, and utilize innovative technologies.
