KUWAIT NAVAL BASE, Kuwait (26 August 2006) ---Petty Officer 3rd Class Joseph Amorelli, a Coast Guard boatswain's mate, calls to the tower of an Iraqi oil platform to find out who will be on board a supply vessel which will be boarded and searched by Coast Guard personnel. Coast Guardsmen patrol the Persian Gulf for weapons smuggling, as well as to protect the platforms.
