Air Force 1st Lt. Jesse Snyder, running in the Baghdad Division of the Peachtree Road Race 10K. Snyder, of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, won the race with a time of 34:37. The race has been run every Fourth of July in Atlanta, Georgia since 1970. Lt. Col. Robert Quint, who is deployed to Iraq to help train military police, worked with race organizers in Atlanta to bring the race to Iraq this year. This is the first time the race has been run outside of Atlanta.
