Soldiers shape their own swords at the newly built Knife Forging Shop at Camp Vance, Afghanistan. The Chaplain and Chapel Assistant built the forging shop by hand for all of the deployed service members assigned to Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force Afghanistan (CJSOTF-A) to come and build their own knifes. The chaplain offers classes twice a day for the soldiers to learn how to use the specialized forging equipment tools. The Forging Shop is open twenty four hours for the soldiers to work at their leisure.
