ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 1, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Justin Wright, from Little Rock, Ark., prepares a forward looking infrared (FLIR) pod for a corrosion inspection in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Wright serves aboard Ike as an aviation electronics technician and helps inspect, troubleshoot and repair aircraft avionics. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
