Pfc. Cole Reiland and Pfc. Brayan Garcia, combat engineers assigned to 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, build a field-expedient bangalore by packing a fence post with explosives during a cross-training drill with infantrymen aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif., Oct. 4, 2016. The combat engineers taught infantrymen the various types of breaching charges and the capabilities of each one. 1st Marine Division is employed as the ground combat element of I Marine Expeditionary Force and provides the ground combat forces necessary for ship to shore forcible entry operations.
