    Petty Officer 3rd Class Essig, operations specialist, explains the ship's defensive weapons to visiting Cambodian orphans during a tour of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga as part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training. Cambodia is the first nation to join CARAT since its inception 16 years ago. CARAT is a series of bilateral exercises held annually in Southeast Asia to strengthen relationships and enhance force readiness.
