Command Sgt. Maj. Jones, command sgt. maj. of Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR), speaks to soldiers of the 28th Combat Support Hospital (CSH) during his visit to the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center, October 2016. The 28th CSH provides Mission Command to key medical enablers and serves as the medical hub to stabilize, hold, and stage critically ill and injured casualties while awaiting air evacuation. The mission of CJTF-OIR is to militarily defeat Da'esh (an Arabic acronym for ISIL) in the Combined Joint Operations geographical area of responsibility in order to enable governmental actions to increase regional stability.
