ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 7, 2016) Seaman Connor McBride, from Birmingham, Ala., stands the forward lookout watch on vulture's row of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). McBride works aboard Ike as a deck seaman and is responsible for ship preservation and deck seamanship. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
