Hoosier guardsmen have been training side by side with the Slovak Army for 25 years, through State Partnership Program, and are fully integrated into Slovak Shield operations, interoperability and joint force unit training. Exercise Slovak Shield is part of Atlantic Resolve, a U.S. led effort being conducted in Eastern Europe to demonstrate U.S. commitment to the collective security of NATO and dedication to enduring peace and stability in the region.
