    Port-au-Prince Airport, Republic of Haiti--
Seabees with Amphibious Construction Battalion TWO, embarked with USS Mesa Verde (LPD-19) walk across an airfield in the Republic of Haiti as radio operators with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit conduct a communications test. Sailors and Marines from Task Force Matthew conducted surveys of potential beach landing sites and airfields to prepare for upcoming humanitarian and disaster relief operations to assist the Republic of Haiti following Hurricane Matthew, a Category IV storm that passed through the area causing flooding, destroying vital infrastructure within the country and displacing Haitian local nationals.
