161010-N-PO203-012 LOCHALSH, United Kingdom (Oct. 10, 2016) Members of the Royal Navy team receive technical assistance with an Iver unmanned underwater vehicle in Hell Bay IV during the first-ever Unmanned Warrior (UW), a research and training exercise designed to test and demonstrate the latest in autonomous naval technologies while simultaneously strengthening international interoperability. Hell Bay is a series of sea trials that bring together state of the art developments in mine countermeasures autonomy for unmanned systems from the The Technical Cooperation Program (TTCP). UW is part of Joint Warrior, a semiannual Kingdom-led training exercise designed to provide NATO and allied forces with a unique multi-warfare environment in which to prepare for global operations.
