SAN DIEGO – Members of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC) and Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) inspection team inspect the drainage tunnels under the dry dock floor at Naval Base San Diego’s (NBSD) Graving Dock 1, during a tri-annual Dry Dock Certification Audit. The inspection ensures structural and mechanical systems of the dock are adequate to dry dock U.S. Navy ships. The drainage tunnels channel water to the main dewatering pumps when empting the water in the dock. U.S. Navy Photo by Paul Rossetti (RELEASED)
